UPC Preschool is a high quality preschool program in an environment of love and acceptance. Our goal is to balance hands-on activities with play to prepare each child for success in kindergarten and beyond.
Three age appropriate programs are offered at the preschool. All of our programs emphasize kindergarten readiness.
A wide variety of hands-on activities are offered in each program. They include math manipulatives, science activities, language arts and a multitude of thematic units.
An integral part of the program is play. We offer various areas of play: blocks, dramatic, kitchen, puzzles, play dough, sensory table, easels for painting and/or drawing.
Art activities are both process and product orientated. They usually change daily.
Songs, music and movement and finger plays are a daily part of our program.
Teacher read stories and books on tape are an important and daily part of our curriculum.
We also have a computer available in two of our classrooms for simple learning games and activities.
